I just had my 2000 Honda Accord serviced, and the shop forgot to turn off the “maintenance required” light. I know there’s an easy way to turn it off involving the ignition key and something else, but I can’t remember. Silly question, but I don’t want to have to take it back to the shop just to have them wiggle their ears and make the light go out.
The procedure is in your owners manual but if you’ve lost it, there is a reset button on the instrument cluster near the speedometer. Press the button and while it is still down, turn the ignition switch to the II or on position. Hold down for about 10-15 seconds or until the light goes off.
That’s it! I just couldn’t remember where I’d seend it. Thanks.
