I’ve just started noticing a type of resonating/rattling sound in the rear underside of my 2011 Honda Accord 2.4L EX-L with 74,000 miles. When the car is fully warm and has a low idle, the sound occurs when in drive and stopped at traffic lights. I can also cause the resonating/rattling sound by rapidly kicking the edges of the rear tires (both left and right). I don’t know if it’s suspension, exhaust or body related, but I’d like to know if others are having this same issue, and if so, what the cause and solution is. Thanks.
The chance of anyone else having this problem is slim and if they did they might not ever see your post. This really sounds like an exhaust problem . Go to an independent muffler shop , they will put it on a lift and determine just what the noise is.
