I have a 1998 Honda Accord V6 with 87,000 miles. I recently started noticing a rattle or clicking sound coming from the rear of the car when I slow down to 5 or 10 miles per hour. What is the likely source of this noise and what is the approximate cost to repair it?
No one can tell you much about cost or what it is but possibilities.
I will simply say it could a simply loose exhaust to worn out suspension. Thats about $100-$1000.
Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. I plan to take the car to the dealer for an estimate and repair but wanted to get a feeling for what my be involved. I am always leary of dealers who may inflate the price and do needless repairs.
It’s also very possible that it’s a dried up shrunken bushing. Someone really needs to get under the car to find out.
