Raer Window Wiper Just Comes On

I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan and just recently the rear window wiper just comes on. Sometimes intermittent and sometimes all the time. Anyone know why and what I can do?

I suspect a bad wiper switch or relay.

Either that or a bad ground for the rear hatch so that when something else goes on the current feeds through the wiper motor. Old Volvos used to do that. Another possibility is that the automatic parking feature of the wiper motor is being activated by the wiper blade moving around on the window.
