What is the going rate to replace a power steering pump…labor, parts, et all? It’s for a 1998 Honda Accord. It has a leak. I live in Los Angeles.
Hi. Some person told me to first try “Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak.” I have the same problem on an 04 Sienna. To replace the power steering rack and pump it’s about 1350.00, but I have a newer model car, bigger, etc than a Honda. Anyway, hope that helps a little. Good luck.
Be very careful using any stop leak products in Honda’s. The power steering systems are sensitive to additives, and require Honda-specified fluid. Any other fluid can cause failure. Winchestergirl’s Toyota has a much more robust sysyem that isn’t sensitive to most products.
