I have a 1999 Lexus RX 300. is there any way I can replace the antenn mast without having to access the antenna motor (I don’t want to take apart the interior)
Yes. Remove the antenna mast nut (requires a special socket), Then operate the antenna motor to raise the antenna while pulling up on the mast to disengage the ribbon chain from the motor. Insert the ribbon chain of the new mast into the motor. Now operate the antenna to lower it while feeding the ribbon chain back into the motor. Tighten the mast nut.
