What’s the best thing to remove dried out pine sap from a car? Will turpentine work?
I’ve used WD-40 to remove pine sap from my car. It didn’t hurt the finish.
I recommend Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover. There are two varieties. Get the one in the metal can, rather than the spray bottle.
Do not use turpentine.
I’ve had great success with Goo Gone.
Thanks much. I’ll try it.

I’ve had success with the clay bars – just don’t “force” them by rubbing too hard.
Get one of those Bounty sheets (the ones you put in the drier with your cloths)…then wet it…WORKS GREAT.
‘Bounce’, right?
Yes…bounce.
I’ve found household ammonia to work the best, especially on dried pine sap. Place a piece of paper towel on the spot, then wet it with ammonia. Give it 5-10 minutes to soak then wipe it off with another ammonia wetted paper towel. No residue, no damage to the finish.
Where do you buy clay bars?
