Pacifica rattling when coasting

My wife’s 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with 77k miles began making a rattling / grinding noise last week. It occurs while taking the foot off the gas and coasting. I have a video of the noise but cannot upload here.

Steering is looser as well. Totally fine when accelerating - but this noise sounds like it’s coming from the axel on the front tires passenger side.

Unless you are able to repair this yourself this sounds like a dangerous problem . This needs to be looked at by a shop and it might be a good idea to have a wrecker service take it there.

Is this. Hybrid? Chrysler had a lot of problems initially with the hybrid Pacifica.

Not a hybrid, but this car has had so many issues I’ll never buy Mopar again.

I think it would be helpful if you could be clearer in the description - especially that the “steering is looser.” Looser than when? The rattle and “looser” started at the same time?

And what do you mean by “loose?” The steering wheel wobbles or vibrates? Or there is a lot of play in it? Or the car is wandering or pulling or something like that?

I am not sure if any of these are causing you problem but, these are safety recalls that you should have done. plus, there are a few more recalls that the dealer should take care of too.
