I wonder how this ancient thread popped back up…
That is what I was wondering also.
My best guess is that someone (hacker/spammer/looney) resurrected it, posted an extremely inappropriate comment, and that the comment was subsequently removed. I have noticed in the past that, even after removing a new comment, a thread will remain in the lineup as if it had been recently updated.

I found a notification that “shane” responded to this thread at 3:42AM today.
Since his post does not appear, it is apparent that it was deleted.
Mystery solved–except for the details of his now-missing comments!
