My new car (1200 miles) has a noise under the hood - top passenger side - only when going over bumps - Help !
It’s under warranty. Take it back to the dealer and let them fix it.
Not only do you not need a diagnosis of the problem, but the dealership would undoubtedly ignore any diagnosis that you offer. Explain the problem and, if possible, have someone from the service dept ride with you so that you can point out the noise to which you refer. That is the end of your responsibility. After that, it is the responsibility of the dealership to remediate the problem.
Oh, and if they say it’s normal for that type of car, ask to take a test drive in a similar car on the lot, and see if it makes the same noise. If it doesn’t then the sound isn’t normal.
