New Ranger

Is it possible to lower the seat on a new Ford Ranger? My head keeps rubbing the top on the extended cab. How would it be done and where would I go.

I think you have to modify the cushion because the frame of the seat is on the floor already.

And messing with the seat just may mess with the effectivity of the airbag.

Perhaps there’s some sort of elevated roof that could be added, like the ones that vans use for “conversion”. A costom body shop might be able to help.

Tilt the seat back and see if that helps. I know it will change the way your arms hang when you drive. Maybe it will be less annoying, though. You might also move the seat forward a notch or two as part of the process. You must not have a power seat, or it would go up and down, too.
