Have you guys heard about this new Power Steering option: Turn Signal Activated Power Steering?
As I wait on a side street to turn into the main stream of traffic, a driver in the main stream does not turn on the right-turn turn signal until actually executing the turn, which is too late for me to act on.
Having seen this phenomenon for many years, I have concluded that it must involve a technology that I never learned about while tinkering on my vehicles (ummm, one mechanic told me not to bring my car to him if I tried to “fix” it myself first).
I believe that option is installed in car headed for Virginia. Any advanced warning on your intentions means that someone will take that opportunity to cut you off, no matter how far out of their way they have to go to do it. I had in installed there myself for self defense.
