DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DISCONNECT THESE ON A 97 GEO TRACKER
Why? It is a safety feature built into the truck. You’ll most likely need a wiring diagram to find the correct circuits, which will most likely use a control box or relay underneath the hood somewhere.
This post seems to answer your question:
I wonder why, too. You never have to look at your DRLs, just other folks.
Why turn off a safety device?
I eliminated my DRL’s on my truck because every couple of months one of the lights would burn out.
Bad design, and pain in the neck.
It may be possible to install a switch on the dash to do this.
In my opinion, all DTRs should have a factory bypass to turn them off when you need to. Yes they are a safety device, but I think you should still have manual control over them.
I do not need them in a car wash, in a garage shining in my or the mechanic’s eye’s or while cruising slowly down a gravel road to see where that wild turkey went.
