"Name that tune"

I have a couple of songs that I love to listen to when I’m driving. Neither one would be considered a “car song.” They are “Dirty Laundry” and “Enter Sandman.” I guess I’m just living in the past.

I love that song too, but I have to be in the right mood and the right frame of mind to listen to it. That song is deep, it makes me think deeply of my past and many other things. It simply hits too close to home for me.
The last time I listened to that song I ended up in tears bawling like a baby (It was during a rough time). That was about 4 years ago and I haven’t listened to it since.

I have many,

Country- Cruise by Florida Line

Old Country- Thunder rolls by Garth brooks, The highwaymen

Oldies- California Soul by Marlena Shaw?

Rap- Ride wit me by Nelly, If you haven’t seen it check out the music video.

Recent Pop- I took a pill in Ibeza by michael posner

And Macklemores “White Walls”, its a mixture of different styles.

There are so many.

Deep Purple–“Highway Star”

You’re taking things WAY too seriously

But this is nothing new

Hey, what can I say? Guilty as charged!

Ill say this, what you see is what you get, whether that’s good, bad or indifferent I am not sure.

A perfectly awful song from the sixties.

But I had one when I was 16, so I liked the song.

The ballad of thunder road by Robert mitchem

RUSH- Red Barchetta

I find oddball driving songs amusing. Here’s a few:

Traffic Jam - Weird Al

Rusty Chevrolet - Da Yoopers

Going the Distance - Cake

Speedball Tucker - Jim Croce

“Vehicle” by Ides of March:

Thought of another I like-

Mercury Blues by Steve Miller Band

One of my all time favorites!
I’m going to add “Rocket 88” Ike Turner.

“Blue Car” by Greg Brown, on the album Covenant.
