I have a 2016 Ford Fusion and the battery has been dying once a week so every Sunday morning I have to jump my car. I got a new battery about a year and a half ago and the car drives fine throughout the week without any issues. Anyone know what this could be?
You probably have a “parasitic drain” somewhre. A good mechanic can find that very quickly.
A few years back there was a Lincoln owner whose battery drained when he parked his car forward on his steep driveway, but it was OK when he backed in. Turned out it was the mercury switch for his trunk light that engaged when the car was pointing upward.
Tell your mechanic all the details you know about the battery going dead.
Good luck!
You can get your battery and charging system tested for free at several auto parts stores. I’d start with that.
