LED Taillights

What is it I need to get for my blinker or turn signal to blink at a normal pace?

The tail lights and brake lights work fine but when I put on the directional they blink so fast I read of something that I need to in stall some where to make them blink at a normal pace? Please help anyone. What is it I need to get to make the directionals to blink at a normal pace?

I suspect that you installed aftermarket LED lights. If so, the flasher unit is not designed for LED lights that draw significantly lower current. If this is the case, you need to find a flasher compatible with LED lights. Check with your local auto parts store.

Thank You my good person I really appreciate your answer to my question on this matter! Yes I bought a set for my Ford F150 and they look great and work for all the functions except the directionals and flash like mad!
So may I ask another quetion to you? Could you name a good place as to where I may find such a flasher? Auto zone? Pep Boys any place like these would may have this type of flasher?

It doesn’t matter where. Just check to see if any of them carry a compatible flasher. It should not be very expensive.

Thanks a whole bunch my friend!

This problem with the LED flashers is fixed in a couple of ways. Some install a resistor. Some use an LED setup that operates a little differently. Go online and search for LED lights.
Here is an LED flasher from Summit Racing Equipment: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=PRF-80230
And, here is another lead: http://www.stu-offroad.com/electrical/led1/led-3.htm

What year is your F150? Newer ones don’t have a replaceable flasher. In that case, you would have to add load resistors.
