i replaced the sensor on the driver door(98 lincoln cont.)that makes the windows go up and down, now the key fob doesnot work?
By “sensor” do you mean the Driver’s door module? If so, that is also the RF receiver for the key fobs and it has to memorize the ID of all the remotes (key fobs) that you want to work with the car. Your owner’s manual will have the procedure used to program new remotes to the car. This is the procedure to use.
Also note that the factory code and any personal codes you had for the keypad on the door will now be changed. The owner’s manual has a procedure to set a new personal code for the keypad. However, you will need to know the code for the replacement module that you just put in.
