My 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude has remote entry, not remote start (not sure if that makes a difference). After locking my Jeep with the remote, the Jeep unlocks all doors by itself and the headlights turn on. After a few weeks, the lock button on my remote no longer works.
Any idea what could be wrong? There are no service lights on. I’ve replaced the remote battery, no change Thank you

Could be the TIPM (Jeep’s Totally Integrated Power Module), but you might want to first ask your shop to test the car’s 12 v battery and alternator function. If the 12 v battery is original to your Jeep, it is now 7 years old and almost certainly should be replaced…
I had a 2009 Dodge Challenger (same corporate family) that did something similar, with the door locks. The car also had a tendency to stop recognizing key fobs, seemingly randomly. When it stopped recognizing my 1 “good” key fob, I knew it was time to get another car. Almost left me stranded a few times, and the car had 200K miles on it, in addition to other issues.
