I have a 2010 Jeep Liberty that is less than 6 months old. In the past week, I have noticed when I back out of my driveway and then turn the steering wheel to the left, I hear a slight thumping sound over and over as the wheel is turning. That is the only time I hear it. It sounds to me like something is rubbing on something rubber.
It’s still under warranty right? Take it to the dealer and point it out.
Some issues from the past, Jeep Liberty vehicles has issues with the ball joints, also is the sound coming from the steering colum itself? Dealer is the visit you want.
