Important - spam attack

Yup!
The time differential between The US and Korea would certainly help to explain why these attacks come during our overnight hours.

I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m hoping we’re now in the clear. Seems we haven’t had any activity in a couple of days. I’m going to de-sticky this one. (With luck, we won’t have to resurrect it!) thanks again for all your patience and assistance, everyone.

Uh, could we get this back to something car related  Sorry, couldn’t resist.

I couldn’t agree more, @PvtPublic!

I have gotten to where if I see the words Viagra or something, I just disregard the message. I have noticed that they are now sending messages like this with words like Viagra misspelled, likely on purpose to avoid the filters.

I heard something on the radio today about ad filters. The reporter interviewed someone that worked at a web site. He said that they worked hard to thwart ad filters because the ads pay for operating the web site. He said that if ad filters become too widespread, users will have to pay for content. If all the ads on this page disappeared, we would have to pay to participate. I prefer free web sites. You don’t have to pay attention to the ads if you don’t want to, unless they are prelude to a video you want to watch. Even then, you can turn down the sound if you don’t want to pay attention.

The ads are getting too pervasive. Ever notice how many web-sites now have video content instead of text. That’s done purposely…just so they can play an ad before the content. Nothing more. There are several sites I use to go to…but now are almost impossible to read. The ads have taken over the site. There’s a tipping point. Some people LOVE it…I hate it.
