I have 1998 BMW 750IL that have driven for 8 years. About 2 months ago the car will not start. I have taken it to the dealers about three times. Each time it is repaired it will start for about one week and stop. I have been told the on board computer is no longer able to recognize my key.
If they fix it and it works for a week, then the repair is still under warranty. They should repair it at their cost. That is based on the fact that they knew what the problem was and just did not fix it correctlyfrom the start.
The car is being diag. and repaired by a Tech that does not understand the system IMHO. Take it back ask if someone more trained could work on your car.You will have to present your request with tact.
