Honda odyssey won;t go

I have a 2002 Honda Odyssey that starts up fine,but immediately dies when shifted into gear, either forward or reverse. It behaves like the power is shut off to the engine. No run on just shuts down immediately. I’ve checked all the fuses and can find none blown.
