Does anyone have any experience with horn issues in Honda Accords? My '98 horn works only intermittently, and the dealer replaced one horn, then replaced the airbag-thinking the horn contacts were worn out due to the age of the car. My problem persists.
Replaced the airbag? You need to find an independent shop.
The circuits for horns go through the mounts, and those get corroded. Little attention is paid to corrosion protection of that detail, they’re simply bolted on. The electrical connection is simply a slide on connector, and those are also subject to corrosion.
The Accord probably has two horns, for two seperate tones. Replacement of each can be bought at the parts store for about $15. The horns themselves should be bolted to the radiator mountiing wall.
