Blower went out this weekend. Checked fuse - Good. Looking to repace myself. Anyone have any tips?
You should check to make sure that you have 12V (or so) across the two motor connections before you replace it. If you have power there, then the motor is defective. If you don’t have power there, then you have some other problem like a relay, switch, wire, or electronic module.
Before you replace the blower motor I would first verify that it is really the problem by applying power directly to it. There may be a problem in another area. If the motor works on full speed setting then the resistor pack is most likely at fault. The relay is another area to check also if power isn’t getting to the motor.
