That is a funny plate, for the life of me I don’t understand why some people get offended over stuff like this…
Unfortunately there are those people who’s sole purpose in life is to, actively look for things to be offended by.
Ok, I’m the dumb ■■■. What does it mean?
It means p.e.e. before we go.
Took me a bit to figure that out, too.
Yeah, I saw it, about gave up, then read the article and almost still didn’t get it, then it hit me and I about lost it, one of those duuhhhh moments… ![]()
Yep, made it to national news this morning.
I thought it stood for pray but now I get it.
At least 90% of personalized plates seem like dumb wastes of money to me, including this one.
I guess that’s why they’re frequently referred to as “vanity” plates.
I would like one, but could never think of one that would not seem dumb. But I do have specialty plates.
I’m extremely frugal, of course my friends use the word “Cheap”. I never understood the Vanity plate thing.
I never did either. NH has one of the highest percentages of vanity plates in the country.
I do have a veteran plate. But NOT a veteran vanity plate.
Saw commercial with 2 guys deciphering plates at store. I’m 82% sure they said “PB” something. Kwiktrip? Holiday? In Mn.
Maybe they don’t mind spending the extra money for a chance to make somebody smile!
Not a clue. Our holiday station is now a circle k. Back in high school I worked at a green house. We had the flower contract for the Erickson stations who was a brother to the owner of the holiday stations. On one of the runs we stopped at Ericsson’s house so the boss could collect payment. I sat in the van but I had never seen a sheet rocked garage before. Set my standards a little higher. Yeah he went broke and now it looks like holiday did too. We would never buy their gas back then for fear of water.
I did one for my Dodge RT back in the 90’s, looked good on paper, and if you knew you knew, otherwise a non car nut or even Mopar nut wouldn’t get it, only if I could have had a different color for the RT…
Haven’t done one since, could never think of a good one…
If anybody is bored and can blow it up to read the date on the tag, I would be thankful… It was early to mid 90’s, just don’t remember the exact year…
It is really blurry, but being you said it was in the early 90’s, blown up it looks like I can see a number one. so, I’m going to guess 1991.
Yes it is blurry (and you may be correct) and the car in the pic has/had been sitting outside at time of pic in a field for 25 years at least, I built the engine at the same time (year) as I bought the tags (everything emissions related was stripped from the engine and car), and got to drive it for 2 years and then emissions testing came to middle TN around 1993ish, the car hasn’t been on the road since, the engine is in the fun car now, just trying to get an exact year when I built it… But the front tags were old from the year before (TN only has rear plates for cars)…
DODGERT noun; someone that dodges. verb; the act of dodging something.
Also, a reference to a specific version of sought after Mopar vehicle of the Road and Track variety, often over powered for its size and having improved suspension and handling.
The latter would be immediately recognizable by any of the guys I hang/hung out with…would be surprised if you weren’t pestered to sell it by people driving by seeing it beached in the field.
