have a 2001 KIA sportage… gasoline smell in the engine compatment from the passenger side comes and goes… new fuel filter - air filter - “o” rings on injectors… it still smells comes and goes ??
Perhaps some malfunction of the vapor recovery system?
Really small fuel leaks can be hard to find because they evaporate so fast they never leave any liquid trace. Sometimes you can find a small leak like this be feeling your way along the line with your fingers, which will detect the cold liquid gas.
