How do you go about replacing the fuel filter on my 2006 CHEVROLET-IMPALA?
I recommend you start with a repair manual from the local parts store. Follow the directions to depressurize the system first, as they’ll tell you in the fuel filter replacement section. The fuel system in modern cars remains pressurized to 40psi or more (depending on the car) after turning the car off.
I would check the repair manual to see if it has an external, changeable, fuel filter. Auto Zone and Advance Auto Parts don’t have a fuel filter for it, either real or imagined.
