Ford Bronco recalls

Ford to replace every single Bronco molded-in-color hardtop - Roadshow (cnet.com)

At least the fix is easy once the new roof is available.

And this part of the article seems like very good news for Ford: " The company said the enthusiasm and demand is beyond what the automaker ever expected for the Bronco"

At this point the roof issue seems just a minor inconvenience.

Minor inconvenience isn’t what most of the folks with bronco’s on order would call it, even if they’ll pay the 2021 price when they eventually get their 2022 or 2023. Particularly those who thought their trucks were going to get built about now.

Didn’t the article say that if a buyer didn’t mind , they could take delivery of their vehicle now, with the old-style roof?

and now theres this…
https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2021-ford-bronco-sport-recall-alert-fuel-delivery-module-may-leak-167408.html

The roof is one thing, but the fuel leaks out too? The new Bronco seems remarkably similar to my 50 year old truck … lol …

Seriously, I’m of the opinion Ford’s new Bronco will prove to be a market-place winner, but expect some new-model problems will need to be worked out. Remember when Boeing introduced the 767 and that Air Canada incident? The new and electronics laden 767 used metric units, while prior planes apparently used inches, pounds, etc. For example the amount of fuel in the plane’s gas tank was measured in kg on the 767, rather than pounds on the 737, 747 etc. So the folks who filled up the plane to fly from Toronto to Edmonton put the correct number of units of fuel into the tank, but the units were pounds rather than kgs. Since there’s about 2 pounds per kg, they only put in enough fuel in the tanks to fly half of the way. That’s a bit of a problem. When both engines stopped mid-air about 130 miles from the nearest airport at Winnipeg, , the pilot had a big problem.

but wait… there’s more…

I know every car has recalls and has been going on for years. but maybe manufactures should have a longer shake down period before releasing new vehicles. I think it would save them money in the long run. and customers would be happier. they would not have to waste time going back and forth to the dealer for recalls to be fixed. just my opinion which is not worth much. LOL

Yes they could take delivery with the hard top if it hasn’t been turned around and sent back to the factory.

Even though it is just a mild cosmetic issue, still a bad news for Bronco owners.
