Do people not know how to smell leaking fuel anymore?

My neighbor just bought a new Escape. I don’t know if they have the 3-cyl engine, but it’s disheartening when your week-old car has the fire-prone engine.

I wonder if the problem is the fuel line or the fuel line connections? I’m guessing the latter. Ford engineers may have been trying to introduce an unproved fuel-line connector innovation, and some problems remain

Try seeing all of the dolts out there talking about EVs catching fire when they get wet in the rain. It’s even worse than the Pinto PR disaster.
