Well, if “most of the country” means most of the AREA, you are probably right. But maybe most of the POPULATION is urban or dense suburban.

I was referring to population by area. In an urban area there will be more potential to annoy more people in a given area.

Living in an area that is not densely populated does NOT make waking people (and their babies) up in the middle of the night somehow alright.

I was merely contrasting that one would be more likely to annoy more people in an area that has a high population density for example if some was tearing down the street in a 1970’s Chevelle with no mufflers in Manhattan, he/she would probably end up annoying more more people that if the same person did the same thing in the middle of Nevada.

If you’re going to do it, own up to it. Don’t try to justify it with “well, it’s okay because I don’t live in a city”.

My daily drivers have had aftermarket exhausts, however I don’t stop on the gas in residential areas. And as for the “it’s okay because I don’t live in city” argument, again, this sort of thing does tend to go over better in rural areas because (as I stated above), there’s not as many people around to care
