Engine moves when turning left

I just got a 2010 Chevy impala, and just this past weekend I heard a noise that sounded like a woodpecker under thw passanger side of the vehicle. After that I was getting resistance when I turn left and only left.

Me and my buddy thin it could be the power steering pump or a break in the line, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or understands what it might be.

Sounds like a bad motor mount

Check the power steering fluid level.

  • The woodpecker sound could have been the pump chattering on a mix of fluid and air.
  • Full left turn is probably the point where the hydraulic cylinder is fully extended and the most fluid is needed (reservoir is empty).
