I have a 94 Saab SE and have had a series of electrical problems. The most recent one is with the windshield wipers. The fuse keeps blowing out. Has anyone else encountered this?

Well I don’t know how common it is, but it means there is a short in the wire to the wipers, or the wiper motor is bad. My guess is the wire to it has been rubbing on something and the insulation has worn off somewhere.
If you replace the fuse, what exactly happens? Does it blow right away, the first time you turn on the wipers or after the wipes may have been used a few times?
