Can anyone help me here? My new-used 2001 Cadillac Eldorado OCCASIONALLY stalls when I am braking at low speeds (15 - 25 mph), yet the dealership and others say nothing registers when they hook it up to “the computer”, so this means nothing is wrong apparently, and they say unless they can get it to duplicate the problem, there’s nothing they can do. Please help. I know NOTHING about car repair.
Get the shop to temporarily disconnect the torque converter lockup clutch.
It should be just a matter of unplugging an electrical connector.
If the symptom goes away they’ll know where to go from there.
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I talked to the shop, and they are very interested in your suggestion. I’m taking it in tonight to be looked at tomorrow, so I’ll let you know what happens. I really appreciate your reponse.
