Door locks don't work in hot weather

2008 Chevy Equinox. Front two doors won’t lock or unlock with remote when it is hot out. Just started within the last month or so. What causes this? And more important, how do I fix it?

So the back doors still work, or you haven’t checked?

Could be the BCM. Computers are temp sensitive.

GM has issued a Technical Service Bulletin #07-08-47-004A that may be related to the door lock problem.

Poor Body Control Module grounds can damage the BCM, and/or cause intermittent operation of the following:

*Interior lighting

*Remote keyless entry system

*Door locks

*Power windows/mirrors

There’s a specified procedure for testing the grounds for the BCM.

Have you tried changing the battery in the remote?
