Does anyone know what this box that is dangling under my steering wheel of my Chevy lumina is. I have remote start and it doesn't work

I’d guess this IS the remote start controller. I’d also note that it is an aftermarket unit of questionable installation quality and should be removed and discarded before it starts draining your battery overnight. It doesn’t work, no wonder, so have it removed.
