We have had to replace window motors in our 2001 dodge caravan 3 times. One mechanic I talked to said that there is a design flaw in the door, that the location of the motor causes the motors to fail, and that to really solve this problem we need to replace the whole door. Any information or opinions about this will be greatly appreciated. Including if Dodge will pay for the new door!
Fat chance that Dodge would pay for a door based on one mechanic’s opinion. Out of perhaps a dozen Caravan/Voyagers I’ve had, I’ve only replaced ONE window motor. Usually it’s the driver’s door switch that goes bad.
I’ll see if I can get my favorite Caravan guru to weigh in on this situation.
