It’s best she doesn’t know because then she’ll know how much the sport costs. I met a gentleman who had a couple of vintage shotguns made by James Purdy of London. He likely bought them off of an estate for what the widow thought her husband paid for them. The green velvet lined presentation cases they were in are probably more expensive than my shotgun.
That could said about a lot of things we do that we do and don’t want them to know about.
