I have a decorative magnet that seems to have become permanently affixed to my car. How do I remove it without damaging the finish of my car?
Try soaking some paper towels with the universal solvent. water, maybe a little dish soap and put them on top of the magnet and let them soak, keep them wet for 30 min if needed, then try gently pulling it off.
To late, if it has been on that long the paint will look different. There will be a shadow were the magnet was.
The rubber part of the magnet has bonded to the paint.
Get a silicone spray, and from the top of the magnet, start peeling the magnet away from the surface, and spray some silicone. Repeat this and take your time, and the magnet will come off.
