93 fleetwood - the cruise control works when it wants to. may work everyday for a month, then not work for a month, then start back again. i changed out the “thing” under the hood. got the exact same results, this tells me the “thing” is working, or i have 2 bad ones. any other ideas
You might want to check your brake light switch. When your cruise isn’t working, check to see if either your brake lights are stuck on or not working at all.
I vote with Triedaq on the brake light switch. It’s the most common component to go bad in a cruise control system. I call it the “weak link.”
Might want to check the 3rd brake light bulb. A burned out bulb disabled the cruise control on my 93 Caprice.
