I don’t know about crows, but their close relatives the ravens do form bachelor groups. They have been seen stealing lunches from motorcycle pouches. Tom and Ray know their animals! The crows may have been attracted to the color or insects on the car.
had the same problem, same saab but with gulls. no need to replace vent system. along the firewall directly in the center is a rubber drain (prone to clogs) for the vent system. clear any debris out of the drain and flush the system with hot soapy water poured into the cabin air intake opening by the passenger windshield wiper. make sure the drain is functioning correctly, pour a water bleach solution through and problem solved. if your’re really in a tight spot, replace the cabin airfilter.

I LEFT A POST UNDER A DIFFERENT HEADING (BIOLOGICAL SMELLS) USE DRAIN ENZYMES SPRAYED INTO THE SAME AREA THAT THE POOP WENT INTO. REPEAT EVERY 2 DAYS AND PROBLEM SOLVED
