Continuous high speed chime on

On a 2001 Olds Silhouette, I get a high speed chime when the driver’s door is open. It happens with or without the key in the door. No other door causes chime. The speed of chime does not change/discontinue when I alter the light setting on the lower left dash. All other dash displays seem normal. It is faster than the “key in the ignition” chime.Any ideas?

Oops. I meant key in the ignitioin --not the door.
