I just got my truck back from the mechanic, he fixed an electrical problem and cleared the computer of the codes. He was not sure how long it would take the computer to reset. Does anyone know how many miles driven it takes for this to happen. Its due an inspection soon.
The mechanic actually reset the computer when he cleared the codes. As a rule, I disconnect the battery (which resets/clears the computer) when I work on my 2000 S-10 Blazer. I just replaced the radiator which took the truck off the road for a week. I didn’t notice any difference after the repair was done. My guess is a day or two of normal driving for the computer to relearn one’s driving habits.
