Computer reset

I have a 2004 f-150. I did not realize the computer needed to be reset after changing the battery.

Now, I cannot et it to reset and the idle seems to be effected causing the engine to stall out occasionally.

Please help.

I dont feel it is fair that I cannot perform a simple task like this without my car freaking out.

I think you have some really bad information. Does the owner Manual tell you that you have to have the computer reset? Some cars have to have an absence of power for longer then five minutes to automatically reset the computer and various comfort feature programs like direction, outside temperature, etc.
