Hard to tell from your post, but it sounds like it could be a severe misfire. Is the “Check Engine” light on? If so (and I’ll bet it is), there will be one or more diagnostic trouble codes stored that will help pinpoint the problem. Can you drive it at all without the problem occurring? If not, it would be wise not to drive it.
