I have a 2005 Town and Country Minivan. Over the past two days, I have noticed a clicking noise coming from the front of the van when I turn the steering wheel hard (particularly to the left) when I am parallel parking. What might this be and is it a safety issue?
Have your mechanic check the condition of the CV joints.
When one of them snaps, you will have to be towed. That may or may not be a safety issue, depending upon where you are when you get stranded.
