Does anyone know where the temp sensor on a cd4e tranny is? Cant find it for the life of me.
Took me about 2 minutes to find. Click the link below, lower left side. It is is side the trans embedded in the trans controls
I think your tranny project is slightly ahead in odds of success vs the sundance motor repair. Maybe 2%. But the lazer owner has been looking at car in driveway for 3 years? Well, walking by it, not actually working on it.
Sorry. Not exactly seeing the tranny sensor? Is it the E410 part number?
Also, Ive had this car for a month and a half. Working on many different projects.
420 is the number I think… As I mentioned before lower left diagram, way left, way low. Shows the electrical connectorbut has no part number but it does identify the trans temp sensor.
If I recall, the TOT (transmission oil temperature) sensor is integral with the solenoid pack and harness assembly for that transmission. It’s not serviced separately.
Okay. I was looking for a different accronym, sorry. Thanks.
It is printed in full; “Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor” above the “(TOT)” right on the picture showing its location
Yes I see that now, thank you.
The repair method of looking at it, but not doing anything, I’ve seen that. Reminds me of a co-worker who seemed to spend a couple hours a week during lunch looking under the hood of their car, week after week, but didn’t seem to ever remove or install anything. I always wondered what their objective was, hours and hours of looking but never changing anything, but believed it better for my own interests not to ask … lol …
