I am 6’2" and I drive a 1998 Civic. I have plenty of head room (no sun roof), and I rarely hit my head. But if I am ever in a front end collision, my knees are going to take some heavy damage. I don’t usually give it much thought since it has much more front end protection than my motorcycle.

I have lower back problems, so I have been thinking about making my next vehicle a car-based SUV or a small pick-up truck since they are easier to get in and out of. There are a lot of small trucks and car-based SUVs out there for him to test drive.

I am 6’6" and weigh 320. I used to drive an old VW beetle in the 70s and it had lots of room. Haven’t tried the new version. I drive a Scion xB now and am impressed by the passenger room and the carying capacity. It has plenty of room although I wish I could slide the seat back just a few more inches. I highly recommend trying one on for size. It also gets great mileage.
