I have a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird, recently when it would get it warm(normal) and I would shut it off it would’nt start unless it cooled off for a few hours. Now it wont start at all. Lights, radio, etc. work just fine. And starter and solinoid checked out fine also. Im not sure where to check next. Please help, Thanx
Next step is to find out if it is gas or spark trouble.
Use starting fluid and a spark checker that connects to a plug wire.
As hd72mm said.
My first guess would be bad ignition components. The hot restart problem was the first sign (electrical resistances increase with heat). Now you likely have something that has given out entirely.
But that is just a guess.
Thanx for replying. I was wondering if you suppose it could be some type of relay or fuse associated with the ignition components? I assume there are such relays and or fuse’s. Thanx again
