We have a 1995 Cadillac Seville, automatic transmission, and the button you push on the side of the gear shiftern doesn’t work. We can’t get the thing towed because it’s stuck in park, and it is blocking access to the air conditioner and it is 100 degrees every day. So this is a critical issue! Help!
The car can be towed. When you call the tow company tell the company rep the car is locked in drive and they will make sure to send a truck that can handle it.
Uncle Turbo is correct. This would not be the first time that a towing company had to deal with a car whose transmission was stuck in the Park position. Just be sure to inform the towing company of this information when you call them, so that they can bring a dolly or whatever other equipment they use in this situation.
