I have a '98 bonneville SSEI with an electronic compass. the compass comes on but does not work properly. What could be wrong with it? How do you fix it?
You may need to set the calibration on it. The Owner’s manual should tell you how to set that.
In the owner’s manual there should be a section on setting the compass to where you live. It has something to do with the way the earth’s magnetic lines are oriented. I’ve done it on a couple different cars but I can’t remember the drill, but the manual will explain it.
